A wallpaper sample is about the size of a book. A wall in F-10 is not. That gap is where most mistakes happen. A print that looks quiet in your hand can shout once it is eight feet high. We ask people to hold the sample next to the real wall, in daylight, before anyone cuts a roll.
In the shop we treat wallpaper like fabric. Which wall. How much sun. Who uses the room. Then we open the wall papers collection. Not the other way round.
Do one wall first
For most Islamabad homes a feature wall is enough. Behind the sofa. Behind the bed. The wall you see when you walk in. If you wrap all four walls in a strong print, the furniture has nowhere to rest and the room can feel smaller.
The other walls can stay painted, or take a plain texture. Let the one wall do the talking. You can always add more later. Going the other way, stripping a full room of busy paper, is a bigger job.
The room matters more than the pattern you liked on Instagram
Living rooms can take a bolder print if the sofa is simple. Bedrooms usually need something calmer or you get tired of looking at it. Kids rooms can have colour. Just pick something you can wipe. Kitchens and bathrooms are a different problem because of steam and grease. Tell us the room before you fall for a design.
Light changes everything. A dark floral can look rich in a bright lounge and look dull in a north facing bedroom with small windows. Shop lights lie a bit. Bring a phone photo of the wall in the day. We match the sample to that, not only to the wall in Peer Plaza.
Print is half the job. Hanging is the other half.
Some people want a pattern. Some want texture that looks like cloth, stone, or a thin stripe. Both are fine. What you should not skip is wallpaper installation. Crooked walls, rushed paste, and a join sitting on a switch will make a good design look cheap.
Islamabad walls are often a bit off, especially in older houses. That is normal here. A good installer trims the repeat, follows the wall, and hides the joins at corners and frames. That is the difference between a feature wall and a patch.
Keep the rest of the room quiet if the wall is busy
If the wallpaper is loud, keep the sofa quieter. If the curtains already have a strong pattern, pick a related colour on the wall, not a second busy print. The room only needs one main voice.
Some people add a wall panel on the next wall, or wooden flooring, so the space feels finished from floor to window. You do not need all of that at once. One wall plus the right curtains already changes how the room feels.
What helps when you visit
A daylight photo is the main thing. Rough width and height, even if you guessed. Mention kids, pets, or if it is a kitchen wall. Mention the sofa colour if you already have one. We will pull a few designs from the wallpaper range and tell you if a panel or paint is a better call for that wall.
Come to Shop No. 4, Peer Plaza, F-10 Markaz, Islamabad, or send the photo on WhatsApp and we can start from there.
